Messrs Jobb and Hudson claim not to recognize our enemies
or our success dealing with them. Our enemies were
the Jihadi terror groups and the Governments that supported
them.
We took out the Afghan Taliban government in a few weeks. We
thereby disrupted al Qaeda, perpetrators of 9/11. Today
they only rarely emerge from a cave to give a grainy video
to the Media.
The Jihadi sponsoring governments of Libya, Pakistan,
and Syria have retreated since we took out the Taliban.
We also destroyed the terror sponsoring government of
Saddam as quickly. Some Ba’athist thugs he
employed remain active, but as the new Iraqi army has gained
experience, local people who can recognize easily their
old enemies, the remnant has become less effective.
Saddam sponsored Abu Abbas, who hijacked the Achille Lauro
cruise ship. He also hosted Abu Nidal, jihadists
involved in the Munich Olympic terror and the Lockerbie
explosion. These groups no longer exist.
Iran sponsors Hezbollah, the largest remaining Jihadi
terror faction, but we have Iran surrounded. Their
prospect looks bleak if we persevere.
We have done all this while losing fewer military personnel
than the number of civilians killed on 9/11, a great success.
